Ross Minter. known as 'ROSS THE BOSS' is the eldest son of former undisputed world middleweight champion Alan 'boom boom' Minter.
The Boss hopes that he can achieve half of what his father has, though he realizes that his dad has left very big shoes to fill.
From an early age Ross was involved in all aspects of boxing as he accompanied his father to fights and events.
Though Ross had boxing all around him, he didn't actually take it up until he was 13. This was because all his time was spent playing football.
All this was set to change when he entered an amateur gym for the first time. He fell in love with the sport and this is where it all started.
Ross is currently the Welterweight champion of England. He won this after firstly winning the Southern Area title with a 3rd round TKO over unbeaten Chas Symonds.
Ross is now hoping to move on to bigger things in the very near future.

Ross "THE BOSS" Minter Seminar
Ross "THE BOSS" Minter Seminar REVIEW
On Sunday the 26th July we had Ross Minter (English Welterweight Boxing Champion) hold a boxing seminar, and what a seminar it was! Not only is Ross a world class boxer but he is also a fantastic coach.
The seminar was full and active throughout the whole time he was here, each technique taught was shown indepth and broken down allowing every person to understand from the complete beginner to the pro fighter.
What was expected was a seminar on Boxing, BUT What was a complete surprise was that Ross had researched MMA and looked at the striking aspect and was able to show from a boxing perspective how to engage and gain entry into the opponents guard / grappling space. Who say' there is a Boxng / MMA divide????
We would like to thank him for the compliments towards our members training and skills, regularly throughout the session he praised our technical ablities, and even commented that some of the attendees should already be fighting, so you guys, you know who you are, get ready for the white collar!!!!!
For the people that missed this seminar, unlucky, it was a good seminar based in Boxing but tailored to fit MMA striking, for all participants i'd like to say a big thank you and well done, you people will be the first to be invited to all "LIMITED" seminars!!!!
And finally i'd like to say a big thank you to Ross for an excellent seminar that everyone enjoyed and learnt so much from- you will be coming back!!!
